I still wouldn't spend the money to buy a new front section now, I understand and agree that they should produce something that complies but I'm afraid I'm done with Safety Devices
First parts delivery arrived today
So that's the genuine Renault Arms and all black series suspension bushes for the car (have already fitted the rear axle bushes last year)
Cracked on with getting the exhaust mount bush fitted, luckily I have the luxury of a 10 ton bench press in the garage...
One of the two bars in their own would be enough, understand where you're coming from though being in the trade, I keep looking at all my tools from years being in the trade and thinking do I really need all this still.
If you have a use for it all then yeah go for it
Can't remember if it's 3/8" or 1/2" drive but you can just use a normal ratchet/breaker bar assuming that the casting doesn't break.
No need to buy the above imo if you don't want to spend the money
I'm going to assume youve got a non cup model? If so you'll need to remove the tension from the spring on the aux belt tensioner, most people do this using a big jubilee clamp around said spring and tightening it up, once you've done this it's a case of removing the belt and unbolt in the old...
I would normally be saying cage over suspension but with the way regs change (assuming you plan on doing more than just track days) then do suspension first
Just a small update for today, plenty to come in the next week or so though
Got a pair of washer blanks from @RichValver, already partially painted in customary red
Also painted the front diamond as well, ready to go back on tomorrow
Currently waiting on a whole host of suspension...
You will need to remove the outer coating off the wire yes, and need to make sure the wire isn't corroded (nice shiny copper rather than dull and green) so that it will have a good connection inside the terminal, electricity doesn't like to have 'work' to get from A to B
Yeah they'll fit (providing the bullets are off a ph2 as well), depending on which spoiler you currently have you may need to change the wiring plug for the high level brake light
Have you tried plugging the cigarette lighter back in? Can't remember the diagram off the top of my head but it's possible that without it in the circuit then the circuit itself won't be complete and will stop the other things mentioned from working either
It is straightforward really. As long as you clean up the broken end before connecting a new terminal it'll all be fine, might be worth taking 1/2 inch off the cable if you've got enough just to make sure there's no corrosion left in the exposed wire
That's fair enough, I've already got PMS top mounts and couldn't agree more with how much better they are compared to stock ones.
I ask as I've ordered some along with all the other bushes too, I've got camber bolts but I'm not a big fan of them.
If you're getting excess wear on the outside of...
