Got a small (potentially large) problem with the 1.4, had the belts done as part of purchasing the car a year and a half ago (56k) and now it's sitting on 84k. Recently (winter time) the belt started to squeak when starting her up cold but used to go alway after a few prods of the throttle, it...
Mine failed at 70 on the motorway, ironically enough got the recall letter a week later... Got my PH2 checked the day i purchased it over the counter, they told me when it was done and where.
When i asked how much to replace out of the recall notice I believe she said somewhere in the...

Cheer's Fred, although i'm not too handy with sharp object's - last adventure ended up in A&E :rasp:
Nothing off the shelf that will break it down i'm guessing
Hopefully this has a really simple answer, is there anything that breaks down this gasket stuff, it's bonded itself fairly well to the TB and plenum >.<
I loosely remember a new member on here claiming ~220, although it was likely BS as i don't believe he came back and proved it after the flaming he got. I'm sure one of his posts said something loosely on the lines of "I have more money than sense" not sure if anybody else caught the thread.
Not too sure about the build quality, my mate is onto his 4th for various reasons to do with how it left the factory, and mines just started to rattle so thats going back ! no denying it's a great phone, couldn't live without mine
Recently had an experience with the Bangla office... Absolutely shocking, the second woman i spoke to actually hung up on me ! Needless to say there UK help desk is extremely helpful and if it wasn't for the lady I spoke to I wouldn't have got the car in question home.
Well mine was £900 with admiral, come renewal it shot up to £1400 ! called them up and had a bit of an argue and they finally offered £1100 with loyalty discount, seems complaining is the way forward
Well popped it off and noticed it was already fairly clean, just give it a wipe down and a lube, did notice this though when taking it off:
New gasket time ?
Anybody know if f0xy's DB is correct with the part number ?

Hiya, Going to be cleaning out the intake tonight on the ph1 and was wondering what people use to re-grease the TB and spring ?
Anybody got experience with either of these ...
haha yeah did a quick reset but it was quite a long drive, managed it over 60 miles or so ! think i'm getting around 34ish on mixed driving, just spent the whole day cleaning her up <3
A few places did that, bumped it up 4h's before the reduction took place so it's basically 1p less in gov pockets and 1p more in there's ! Shows the state of thing's if you cant even get 1p off tbh...
It's crazy value for money, i would take it straight off you but the only thing putting me off is document's, things like engine age and timing belt etc Im sure all is in check but it can be quite a bit risk if the belt gives up.
