Out of Interest, the Shims are i presume in the carrier to allow them to run smoothly, when the shim is removed is the caliper where its case not rough causing the pads to stick?

Thats a Good point actually, Had not thought of that.! How "free" should the pads be in the Slider? When Cold I can put them in and they move freely, but I didnt take into account the "Heat Factor"

I am having a few issues with mine now... Under hard braking from say 60 - 10mph the car is becoming very unstable pulling right then back left. Not sure if this is "normal" as I am loading the front of the car up and the rears dont do much (And are low on pad material, will be replacing new...

People who drive 172 cups are Heros IIRC ;) Having driven a 172 Cup and a 182FF (With Cup packs) I personally prefered the 172 cup as it felt more raw. But its horses for courses really, drive both and make your mind up.
