Ha, they're not the best but from a far they're okay, they need darkening up to match the other plastics or possibly painted UR?
It was no mistake to do it, my fingers are 3" nae 12" you goat ;)
Yuuuup, I found a couple of trees under the scuttle panel haha.
I think this might have needed changed...... Not shure though!!
Fecking mental, I have never seen so much leaves in a heater box. I had to go hoover the car again as when I turned on the fan it literally went every where from the dash to the boot :(.
Well a little parcel arrived just an hour gone. Decided to go and throw them on.
Before
After
That should cut down on any gravel rash on the front and rear arch.
The fronts yeah I could if I got someone to hold the buckle, g101 and a rag will sort the backs.
Cheers. That's a shout, I didn't realise it had room to play there but that will sort it and make the joins at the arches sit nicer too.
Faur enough Liam, I'm bordering on obsessive when it comes to cars anyway but it is a lovely car, over the last few days I have considered keeping it as my own but 3 cars is a bit excessive.
I had the drivers side out and yet to find anything, there's an annoying rattle/squeek/renaultness...
Just send it up, £1500 alright aye? ;)
I will try again yeah John, its annoying me too. Its the first thing I look at in a prospective purchase. Its actually secured on all the points now as it wasn't before, I think the bumpers got a bit of a memory from sitting sagged for a while.
So today was the interiors turn.
Products used.
Started the day like so. Not too bad tbh, just all the corners of dash etc needing a clean out with a brush.
Removed a few bits.
Cleaned the inside if the windows and rain x'd the windscreen.
Some poor complete pics, I forgot to...
Haha its the weather for it. I would suggest removing the mirrors, rear bumper grills and b pillar covers as a minimum, its 4 screws and a few clips and it makes life so much easier on these.
.
Will do (not if its money)
Nice one, I didn't think it would be anything. As said, with the single silencer you will see more steam/vapour than usual.
Have you tried some electrical cleaner and some lithium grease in the plug, it would be a shame to chop up a perfectly good loom.
I started the day by nipping round to my mates who gave me free choice on his detailing gear and his buff . I then started taking off a few more bits of trim so they can be restored and make the polishing easier.
I tapped up and bagged any wiring or holes.
My wash steps were.
Rinse...
Haha you can't get bored of good cars.
Yeah it looks alright and actually stood up quite well to the power washer today but I re covered it in Poorboys trim restorer which I'm well impressed with. A little goes a long way.
I have noticed something rattle but I keep thinking its the seat, I...
Yeah as Liam says.
Have you uploaded some pics yet? No skirts this time I hope :)
Nah you never, its some cheap rubbish in a spray can that the wind would blow off. I am going to pic something up today to properly treat/seal them.
Yeah it says wheel on the tub although I have never used it yet.
Get the car running and engine hot, depending wether the filter is an open type or not then leave the engine running while you jet wash. Jet wash avoiding fuse boxes and anything of importance and you'll be grand. Start engine...
Is c5 any good for that, I just remembered I have some left over from a previous project.
Buy aerospace 303, quick jet wash avoiding most of the electrics, run the engine until its drying then lather on the aerospace 303 and allow to dry with the bonnet closed and engine running. You'll never...
I'll politely show you the back side of my two favourite fingers :nono:
Im looking for a lot more than that, it will be one of the cleaner ones I have seen by the time I'm finished plus it will want for absolutely nothing, timing belt will be done properly, full service, brakes all round, tyres...
I already have some Megs trim restore its just the time it takes to rub on all the cross hatch grilles and then buff off where as aerospace 303 is simply spray on then leave and its brilliant, I was hoping for something similar that's easily available.
