Well I live in Stourbridge (DY8) now and thats a 'B' Rated post code, apparently B64 is also a B rated code yet still its more expensive. This is on top of my premiuim going up anyway :(
to start with I thought it was gear linkage so definately coming from outside the car / in the bay.
I tend not to drive the car fro a few days at a time, found that when I drove the car saturday it did it first thing, was ok all day and then was ok again first thing sunday morning, but that...
When I first start the 197 from cold, changing from 1st and and 2nd when i dip the clutch I get a really quite loud 'clunk' sound. I did think it was the gearbox/linkage but it appears to be connected to dipping the clutch rather than the changing of the gears.
Anyone had similar or any ideas...
172.Dan I'm from Stourbridge, might have seen me in a white 197 Cup?
Anyway closest specialist to us is a guy on here called Fred. Drop him a PM and he'll sort it out for you. He's based by Birmingham Airport.
Point me in the direction of a 197 with cams that idles at 3k... Oh wait... you cant.
I've explained why the 197 needs aftermarket above, this is the ONLY reason it needs it. The ECU is simply far too clever.
Yes you will probably need to reload the RS tuner map on a regular basis. This comes from a conversation with someone at the weekend who has a heavily modifed 197 including cams etc.
None of those images NEED HDR. They are all evenly exposed. HDR should only be sued where its impossible to shoot the image with an even exposure in one image.
