I'm wondering if you could get a different cv joint on there, the difference between the 182 and the ph1 shaft could help, the ph1 outer cv joint has no shoulder which makes it shorter, it's what sorted mine! Probably won't be enough but just a thought
Like Northloop is saying, that shaft is too long by the looks and the CV joints are fully compressed, I had a similar problem albeit not anywhere near as bad and had to change my n/s shaft for a shorter driveshaft when I fitted my lsd!
So, 'popped' up to see chris@efi with @DV8 mainly for mapping on his EK9 turbo, had mine on the dyno to see if all is well with it after my new exhaust and it was perfect.. still great power and nothing needed!
248.5bhp/236.9ftlb
Mate use a Y or T piece on the bleeder and open both top nipples at the same time when bleeding, you'll get a much better pedal... you'll still have a slightly different feel pedal in terms of travel... also I'm pretty sure without the ABS you'll need to run a 197 master cylinder and possibly a...
Think as far as engine and box it's straight swap, then de immobilised r26 ECU and a few wires swapped about on the Clio loom to take the megane ECU. Not looked into it too deep but it's something I'd like to do!
Legend! Thanks mate, do you think 350lb would be a noticeable difference, worthwhile? don't really want to upset the balance too much and start having to change the rears...
Hi guys, has anyone played with different spring rates on there B14's on Clio 182?
Looking into getting something slightly stiffer, think standard are 300lb from a quick search on here, have been recommended 400lb by @NorthloopCup in the past. Thinking either that or something midway to keep...
Mine has been mega reliable, 245bhp/230ftlb... I have extra bits to keep it safe such as boost control, oil cooler and fuel swirl pot system. It's my daily driver as well as a track toy. Mine was mapped by chris@efi as well think it's around 3years since I did the conversion [emoji106][emoji106]
Ah, okay... just thinking of things that haven't been mentioned and easy to check. Another one I had once was exhaust touching underneath when accelerating, horrendous vibrations and rumbling! Worth a check
Starting to think about getting the Clio ready for the ring in August....
Booked into Phoenix performance exhausts in Cullompton for a custom exhaust soon, popping up to see Chris@efi for a possible tweak on the map to suit if needed on the 29th of April too. Need new track rubber, new 300mm...
