People thought they were over priced when I sold mine for £20k. There’s not many cars I’d call a proper investment but these are firmly in that camp, you’ll never see anything like them again.
I love Cayman GT4’s but you could go out tomorrow and buy a dozen, not many of these about.
Yep, proper petrol head car but a lot of people seemed to know a bit about them and seem keen for a look. You just don’t see them ever, I’ve only ever seen 2 on the road excluding the one I had.
Mine is probably the car i most want back out of everything. Terrible in so many ways but nothing has put a bigger smile on my face.
That said I’d take a GT3 over one being realistic, but would be in my 5 car garage with no doubts.
So it was none of the above, can’t have 2 hive hubs on one account so I set another account up and it’s working perfectly first time 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ah well you live and learn!
@Rich-D @hopgop1 The TP link arrived today, set up perfectly but the Hive still doesn‘t work so I think it’s faulty rather than the distance thing now!
Great bit of kit though, works well as I plugged my laptop into the Ethernet and it was perfect.
Clever stuff, thanks for explaining.
The hive has 3 boxes:
1. Hub, this is wired to the router and then talks to the app on my phone and also the controller wirelessly
2. Controller, this replaces the existing controller for the heating
3. Thermostat, this connects wirelessly to the...
They seem perfect, I think?!
So yeah the Wi-Fi router is in the living room, but with the hive hub plugged in there it won’t connect to the controller in the utility. So with this thing I could plug this next to my router and connect with Ethernet cable. Then the other one plug into the utility...
Not quite the same as that, the Hive thing plugs into the router but it’s too far from the other hive thing it needs to talk to.
Thanks, do you have one? So can I put this in another room and it will connect to my existing Wi-Fi and send it further?
Or does it need to plug into the existing...
Fitted a Hive Smart Thermostat but I’ve got a problem where the hub is plugged into my router but it’s too far away from the controller to allow me to control the whole system remotely on my phone.
Is it possible to buy something that will pick up the Wi-Fi from the router but I can physically...
Used my new combi and impact for the first time today. Considering I used to work with power tools every day as a joiner I can’t believe how far they’ve come in the last 8 years. The impact has brutal power!
Money very well spent!
Ive already got a decent 240v one, but again when I start to need it more I’ll one to match the kit.
If I buy every tool I ever need right now I’m then going to struggle to buy the materials that I need to actually do the jobs!
Thanks mate, good post. I haven’t quite hit buy yet on the Milwaukee kit but I think I’m going to..
I like the Makita stuff but I think I prefer the red stuff as an overall package for what I want it for.
I will buy it when I need it but at this stage I’ll be buying it and it won’t really be needed for maybe 3 months so not much point. I’m trying to be sensible.
What do you have to play with?!
Thanks for the input, decided to bin off the SDS and 3rd battery for now as the first jobs I’ve got planned don’t need a huge amount of masonry drilling so I’ll add them on once things get a bit more exciting.
Just wondered if there were any horror stories I guess.
Only got the 12v impact wrench at the minute but that’s standalone as I need 18v for the tools I’m after so I’ve not committed yet!
So I need to start buying some gear for DIY projects at home, and I’m a bit torn. I know most on here have been touched by Milwaukee but for the kit I want to buy initially, like for like (ish) Makita gear is £150 cheaper.
Ive had quite a lot of Makita in the past and always liked it so it...
