Just get a spare from a scrappy and try it first. You'll need to key the plastic first at least otherwise the primer wont take properly, so sand them back to a smooth-ish finish. buy some Halfdords filler primer, use that and you'll get a decent finish at that stage, wet flat that, then use some...
