50 litres? Not doubting it but if petrol is roughly £1 a litre, how come its never cost me that much to fill up? Is it because of the bit of reserve thats always left when i do? About 30 miles once light is lit.

If you want new mesh however, have you tried tweeks/ halfords? Also garden centres and pond/ farm centres will do it dead cheap in various sizes/ shapes.

As middo says, remove the mesh/ bumper and polish the exhaust boxes up. Then get the mesh powdercoated in black, would look much smarter.

Yellow one with the options is the best choice mate.

If you have to double declutch to get from 2nd down to first, does it not just mean your road speed is too high for that change. Not really a change you ever do unless you're coming to almost a standstill is it? Especially not with the torque of the dci?

No sense changing the hubs mate, wont get any benefit from it and will involve a lot of work. Just get a set of h&R's for a 172 cup.
