Got some magnetic shims for spacing whilst welding. Expensive but should make jigging up a lot easier.
Whilst ordering I thought it'd be rude not to get some more clamps.
Kyle's mum has played a blinder here. There's no way Kyle is being reimbursed £300 for that, she knew full well sending him something s**t would get him running to Nathan wallet in hand.
Meanwhile she'll be wrapping it up "with love from mummy Kyle" and getting sent the the moon on Christmas...
If you're looking at mechanic's tools and general hand power tools I'd stick with Milwaukee. If you're doing bench works and big free standing tools / chop saws etc then go for Makita.
Not fishing for Kyle or Dan again but a lot of people overlook the consumables. They're like the tyres of power tools.
Most cheaper tools are used with cheaper bits hence the s**t performance, whilst those with nicer gear use nicer consumables and get double boost of quality.
A cheap tool can...
@dann2707 @Touring_Rob the photos don't really do them justice. The first is the light, second is the strip lights I have on the ceiling and the third is both together.
There's a noticeable difference with them both on. You can also fold the wings out to direct light better or just use as a...
£150-200 should get you something decent that will do most home tasks. Go for any of the big brands with interchangeable batteries though so you can expand in the future if you want to.
Not a power tool, but will get any tool pervert a bit moist.
Just bought these, been toying with Hilti for a while so when I saw they did a set I couldn't resist.
Currently have zero holes to drill, but when I do! Oooft, I can't wait.
Thanks all for the suggestions, so I've been mulling it over more and been to Halfords and Machine Mart today.
Halfords don't really have anything and the Clarke stuff in machine mart just doesn't seem much for the money so discounted both.
Spoke to someone at SGS yesterday who insisted...
Thanks all.
Good shout, just had a look at the sealey stuff but they don't seem to have anything around that size and budget. Typically either cheap stuff or a bit too rich / small.
I don't mind spending a bit, but there's always someone who comes along suggesting financing a £5k snap-on box...
I'm after some half decent garage drawers to keep bits and pieces in. Does anyone have any they recommend?
As it stands it's a toss up between these;
SGS
US Pro
No strap on please, I'm not made of money.
Cheers
It will be because of the pressure exerted on itself. To expand inwards requires it to press against itself, whilst to expand outwards will allow it to move into free space.
Bought these crimpers off ebay. Definitely the best on the site. Not bad for 60 quid 🤣.
First things first put a bit of tube in and pressed a hex onto it. They might actually have some use knowing they can do this.
