PMSL at ^^^, they are pretty good from cold too, surprisingly.
Combined with the Brembo discs, and braided hoses, the stopping power is awesome. I don't need to stand on them either to stop hard.
Happened to me also at 12k. Make sure that they replace both at the same time.
The OE units are crap, mine snapped. And I had a big moment with the back end stepping out on me at speed.
I've no confidence in those dampers. So I've put coilovers on now.
Completely fine, but I do like to put a little heat into them, just to be on the safe side. They do squeel a little, and I need to wash the wheels once a week, to keep the dust off them.
But, imo, it's worth having good brakes for.
You can fit Bremo calipers under the 16" wheels. But as daz says, they are not needed.
Best to just upgrade the pads and fit braided hoses, for the 172/182.
I have Mintex 1177 race pads on mine, with Bembo hi carbon discs.
And the car stopping power is awesome.
:D
Dansta, get that low MF'er washed, hosepipe ban or not!
I've just fitted Leda's to my 182 today at Mark Fish Motorsport. :D
Pics to follow tomorrow, when I download them from camera.
The difference in handling is astounding!
Red cup with the black speedlines looked wicked. Female driver too Maz.
:)
