Se7en172's car I beleive. In case he's reading and actually really wants to keep the 197, on Saturday we got a pram, 4 adults and a baby seat in my friends 1.2 Turbo Dynamique :)

Yea they say cross country it is far better than it really has any right to be and keeps up with some far more exotic machinary. Let's face it though, pretty much everything is more exotic than a Vauxhall Vectra hehe :)

I'd imagine in 90% of real world (I.e. not on a track) situations the Corsa would be quicker than the 197. Such as in the Evo mag review where when chasing a VXR up a windy mountain road, the 197 couldn't keep up... I love the 197, but I respect the VXR for what it is as well.
Here's the...
I love Dubai's apparent attitude to driving :) That bit on top gear where they just closed a road so May could do 190 in the Bentley Flying Spur heh! RS4s also make me a little bit pert - good work in hanging onto it!

Any chance of a pic of the engine bay? Has it seen the rollers yet :D ?
What is the engine? VAG 1.8 or something? Sorry if this has been answered before :)

They look crackin on the road too - real presence. I'd have red or black - blue will be common hehe :) Bluefin and Remus - YKIMS ;)
So about £12-£13k you musta paid then? Fookin bargain for a brand spanker that! It'll still be worth that in a years time I bet!
The non-optional 17s are gash...
Heh, a mate of mine had a C2 GT and her's was exactly like that. Literally every journey was a game of "What's it gonna beep about this time..." She owned it 2 years nearly, and I genuinely don't think a month went by without it hitting the dealers with another problem.
And LOL @ Saxo VTS...
To be honest, you're gonna struggle to get £12k for it privately looking at PistonHeads - not trying to piss on your bonfire mate sorry heh. Maybe consider the economics a bit more carefully though, might be worth it if you're willing to roll in a £6k 172 instead heh :)

5th and 6th gears are meant to be longer I beleive. The change is quite minimal though heh.
And "80 is about 200 - 300 rpm under 5000rpm" - Jesus christ, people weren't kidding when they said they were high revving then....

No one in the world is gonna agree with me here, but, I preferred the 207 GTI (same engine and box...) - neither are fast cars (or at least, they don't feel it) but the 207 was loads comfier and much better value IMHO. I think a 182 would shake off a standard Cooper S turbo without much hassle...

Is there a catch I'm missing here? Ok, 39k in 2 years, but it's still an 06 plate and 39k isn't exactly intergalactic...
