all changers need to be connected to the same brand of headunit
the only exception to that is that you can now get Sony and Alpine adapter leads for a lot of OE headunits, so that you can hook up a Sony or Alpine...
personally after my experience with Snooper i wouldnt bother, there database isnt very reliable and neither are the units

can you choose bass type on your head unit ?
i can on mine and if you have a sub its number 1 (out of 3).......this sets the bass frequency to 60Hz aswell as probably a few other adjustments
