Yes early Mk1s had wee ones in black. Some later Mk1s had Mk2 style. Mk2s had big ones, some were black.

Lights are a bit odd. Black tailgate lock is standard on some of them.

Why not take it to K-Tec? Most garages will bend over backwards to iron out any problems. The chap from K-Tec seems very reasonable when he has posted on here in the past.
