Im 19 and have 4 years NCB. Learn to drive at 16 and than managed to get an extra years NCB by moving the car onto my parents Admiral mulitcar policy. Its still my policy and in my name but works out at £900 a year.
I have an issue with my trophy's suspension set up. I adore the sash dampers they are very well build and have a good amount of adjustability but are lacking adjustable spring seat platforms. I feel when the car is on track it needs to be lower at the front and the back but mostly the back...
If you are racing in a championship that is done on power/weight than got for the one that produces the most torque as it will be the torque that gives you the advantage.

When you tune a car you just pass problem around or just make it worse. Renault spent millions designing and developing clio so I doubt the average chav can actually make it a better car by spending 1k on bits that it doesnt need.

my insurance is £900 this year with admiral multicar. The best thing is they wouldnt insure me on Civic Type R because it was too much of a risk for them, yet they insure me on a Trophy.
