CupWhite - Obviously, you haven't done enough research. His dad can have a policy and have him as the main user. I did these things every day for years. Not all companies offer this, but some certainly do - such as the example I gave of the NFU. Been that I worked in the field doesn't meant I...
You can be on your parents policy as a named driver perfectly legally, and still earn no claims with some companies. For example with the NFU - he could be on his dad's policy as the main user, slightly cheaper on the basis his dad might use it sometimes - but he's still the main user, on a...
Wouldn't matter - the company would still pay out to you - they're legally obliged to cover all 3rd party claims where their policy holder etc is at all. They would then have the option of sueing the person who had void insurance to get their damages back - on the basis that the insurance was...
Admiral beat my nearest quote in the Vee by about £1200 :) I'm 24, paying just under £900 - my own insurance.

I personally would be very surprised if they let someone off just because they were feeling nice, if they had been enough over the limit to warrant 6pts and £250. Not that they can hand that out of course - which makes me think even more that the copper had nothing heh. They can give you a...
There was an 05 plate 182, with 32k on, in the FS section at 6750 for ages - so I'd be thinking nearer £5k? Assuming all fixed up, belts done etc etc.
Dan
To be fair, if he let you off it sounds like, for whatever reason he didn't think he could get a conviction - like he didn't get it recorded/calibration was out or whatever. Because that would be a good bit over the limit for not an SP30, 3pts and £60 - i.e. over 86mph in a 60, or over a tonne...
^^
Agreed, the build always felt quite good, bit tinny but then it was only a 10k supermini brand new, and the problems were just irritating niggles - lights coming on when nothing really wrong and stuff. To be honest, if the garage had been less useless I imagine it would've been sorted first...
Take it to Broach Hill. They're just crap - which is a huge step up from GT :) Although both times hers went to BH, it came back with a new dint in, so watch for that...

Looks nice - I like the seats!
Although my friend had a GT one of these and it, and the Citroen dealer put me off Citroens for life just with the mental number of problems she had with it and utter, utter uselessness of GT GARAGES IN SCARBOROUGH.
The GT wasn't half as nice as yours though...
It wouldn't have affected the warranty to be fair. Has anyone ever had a dealer ask to see their service history before fulfilling a warranty claim? Naaaah hehe.
As long as you're happy with the deal, s'all that matters.

Getting a man in to do an engine oil and gearbox oil change on the Vee. Got the filter and sump plug washer from Renault, no bother. I know for the gearbox I need Elf TRP 75w80 - but where can I get that from? My local Renault place just said they didn't sell oil because they only have it in...
You can always haggle with them. Whatever they offer you, write back asking for what you want. Nothing to lose. Explain low mileage, find examples of more expensive ones the same on Autotrader etc. The idea of insurance is to put you back where you were - most people just roll over and don't...
As you say, it was a little over what most on here would've paid - but that doesn't really mean anything or matter hehe :) As long as you're happy you got a good one! Also - some nice amount of manufacturers warranty left there as well - which is always handy when buying French.
Dan
Sounds well dude :) Any pics of it lifted a bit?
Certainly pwned that Ibiza heh - think he was trying?
What camera are you using and how is it mounted?
Dan
Hah, I was about to post something nice, till I read that. One assumes "local hangout" was McDonalds heh...
Hopefully you will learn this time mate - everyone makes mistakes, part of been alive - the trick is to learn from them - hopefully you will this time and will be better for it :) Just...
