Id go for a set of cup turini's, in a very dark (darker than anthracite) colour mate :) I thought it had a stripe too, i really like the stripe!

You'll need, pcd (bolt spacing) 4x100, et38ish (offset) and width of 7". Would be better going no bigger than 16's on a ph1 172, but im sure this will open a whole can of worms, lol.

Get the 182 full fat with cup packs mate. Wouldnt buy one without them. As kenny says, 8.7k is pricey for an 04 plate without the packs even if he wasnt a mate. Have a look on autotrader/ pistonheads classifieds, plenty going for better money on there.

8.5 will probably be a bit wide for a 172 mate, 7 is more the norm. Also, 205/40 tyres will be a proper stretch over those rims!
