The battery will still read fine and still be shot. If it was less than 12v it wouldn't turn over, which it is.

Battery 100%. Had similar issue car would turn and not start every now and again. Changed battery and all good!

Can you get them powdercoated? Much better finish.

Also if you have done it up too tight it can brake the tiny stopper washer causing knocking.

What Gaz quoted is correct. The only thing wrong I would say is that the rubber outside the car should have the domed side facing up.

Scart sockets work both ways FFS! The TB doesn't have optical in.
