You think £50 is expensive?
I am happy with the results, and it's still gleaming after about 50 miles today!!
Wolf, pm me please, I completely forgot about all that stuff!
Erm, well if the car was prewashed, clayed etc and ready to polish, for a clio sized car I'd probably want £50, for a bigger car such as yours would obviously take me a fair bit longer and use up a few more products like, so I'm not too sure.
To be honest it all depends on the next car I do so...
Haha, thats what mine was like. Havent got rid of them all but it's a damn site better!
If you wash it and clay it if you want to etc ready to be polished I can do it you for £50 if you're interested mate.
that will be going over with whatever grade/pad it needs, then a finishing polish and...
Cheers mate.
It's easy as pie seriously, just dont rush until you work out what your doing etc and you'll be fine.
It is a lot of money but can get it back fairly easy, I've got a few mates who want their cars doing at £40 a pop so thats paying for half of it already so can be seen as...
^ I've found a nice Blue one that I want!
Depends whats around at the time to be honest, if I find a good straight cup with aircon then I'll have it, if I don;t ill find a nice FF, I'll be just as happy with either!
Definately ph2 mate, I'd love a cup but would have to have aircon.
Not sure which would be better for me to be honest, love the cup blue but like the toys in a FF!
^ I'll probably try some other stuff once the Sonus is finished with, although for my first time I'm really happy with the results.
I'm hoping experience comes with time and then I can make my mind up on what works best.
I chose the sonus kit because non others were in stock at the time and...
I've toyed with the idea a few times to be honest, including some other bits like colour coding, but I'm taking the plunge and getting a 172 in July when my insurance is 'only' £1800, just purely to have a bit more fun in a car before it becomes impossible to have fun! So for now the car will...
Thanks, I'm really happy with it :)
Got a few cars to do already with it when I get a chance so should start paying for itself soon.
To be honest I quite enjoyed it as well, got a lot more confident as time passed, although I did learn a few lessons about marking better and claying better!
Well got my kit through today from www.CleanYourCar.com which was spot on service and really happy with it :D
Was really overcast so I couldnt get any decent before pictures but trust me it was screwed!
Anyway, I'll let the pics do the talking!
this one is with the left half done, can;t...
Well I got it all done apart from the front bumper, really pleased with the results!
Not got all the swirls but most are now gone, including quite a few marks from all around the car!
I'll put a thread up in media in case anyone is interested.
Just done the bonnet, looking miles better but havent managed to get many decent before and after pics due to no sun at all!
Now the bonnet is done can i just bang my meguiars wax on by hand and that will be ok?
^ haha damn you!
Although I'm going to look at a new car tomorrow hopefully so might not even need to PC my car anymore, depending on what they offer me against the new one.
Ah right nice one, sounds good!
Hate my job, can't wait to leave!
I won't be able to make Saturday, and Sunday I'm fitting some springs for someone so this weekend is a no go.
haha!
mines done now, gonna tidy it up a bit and then it's going in July for a 172!
I figure its worth paying £1800 insurance to have some fun in a car before the government f***s us all up!
I've just bought a G220 from cleanyourcar.com mate, coming tomorrow!
Personally I'd go for springs though, I know how stupid they look standard height!
Just got an email from Parcelforce saying the item has been despatched, so I hope it's a decent day tomorrow to crack on with it!
Gotta say thanks to Tim for all the help, excellent service so far and I look forward to giving him more of my money in the future!!!
Will do, there will be plenty of pics up soon i hope!
I gave it a quick going over last night after work to get most of the crap off, hopefully on friday i'll have plenty of time to get cracking on it!
^ yeah thats what I though.
I would have waited but I'm working 7 days a week at the minute but i've manged to wangle friday off work, so i wanted a go at it while i have the time, and the sonus was the only one in stock!!
lol, decided on the sonus package to be honest!
I'm gonna do plenty of research on what other stuff to buy which is good but after speaking to Tim from cleanyourcar I thought it would be good enough to start with.
As I get to know more then I'll buy something different!
I appreciate all the...
To be honest I want to go for the sonus one because it is in stock!
Are there any other sites that sell similar stuff?
Hmm, £230 on car cleaning stuff!!!
Thanks for the help.
I mean do I use 1 polish, then another, and then another, will this make it better, or are they all individual depending on how bad the swirls etc are?
Would this be a better kit?
Or can you reccomend any? Are there any other sites other than i4detail and cleanyourcar?
