on a 172 drop will be 10/15mm, very much worth it though. If you want mroe drop the sportline will give about 30mm and is just as capable a setup

Try some mod friendly insurers, adrain flux etc. They might get the premium down. Personally if I was you I would be looking for a mk ph1 rsi (1.6 16v) and the making it a 172 replica ;)

Ian if a 1.6 is the wrong side of £1k then a 172 will be knock on £2k!

0-60 means jack s**t in the real world. A 1.6 with the right driver in the righ circumstance, could out run a 182, though its unlikely.

In the right circumstances with the right drivers, any slower car can be quicker than any quicker car. There are videos of Fred out driving a 172 while driving a 1.2 clio. Hardly think the 1.2 clio is a faster car!
