Super pleased you've got a thread up of this car! Amazing amount of work went into it, an inspiration for my own BG :grinning: Need to get my arse into gear and update my project thread, have done a pile of things since last update of it!
I recently fitted 10mm rear axle spacers and 15mm up...
Best asking on RMS or the Renault Sport Owners Club NI Facebook group for local suggestions!
Changing the gearbox oil with ELF NFJ 75W80 has done wonders for my box.
Awesome BG :smiley: Would you kindly link me the non-return valves you got for the headlight washers? :up: Can't wait for spring to crack out my DA to spruce up my BG!
Cracking 182!! :smiley: Great to see this one is unmolested, just some nice simple touches.
Rare to see one with that mileage nowadays, picked my BG up last year with just over 50k miles! Lost hope on a low mileage RB.
@JamieG95 check out the wheels!
Follow the steps I've given to reset it with 3-4 clicks and hopefully that solves your problem [emoji106] My CC and speed limiter are both not working, my squib is what's at fault though :(
If the above doesn't work I'd suggest get it checked out with the official Renault diagnostics kit called 'Clip' instead of messing about and possibly causing more hassle for yourself
Clutch and Brake Switches are both linked to the CC circuit. Common failure points or need reset by pushing in the plungers in completely and pull them out a few 'clicks' (3 clicks for brake switch, not sure how any for clutch)
In my experience of Alpine and Pioneer headunits, Alpine = best sound quality output on stock speakers.
Installed a Pioneer unit in my 182 and the sound lacks power, rear and front doors have Fli speakers installed by previous owner. Assuming I need an amp to boost it!
It's the lack of sound deadening materials in these cars tbh. BMWs and the like have very thick carpets inside and carpet material in the wheel arches that blocks road noise
Exhaust resonance isn't great with these cars when running without a straight pipe. I briefly straight piped my Milltek as a cheap fix to replace the prior damaged box but the drone at motorway speeds inside the cabin was awful (full interior fitted) so bought a new Milltek centre box to fit again!
Bajessus. Unreal! Literally perfect that way she sits or do you have some planned mods?
I would swap my BG for Racing Blue in an instant but I couldn't walk away from mine though when I picked it up with 49k, unmolested bar milltek exhaust and for a cracking price... but I still envy RB owners!!
Does your original headunit on the front face right hand side read update list or tuner list? I'm not aware of which aftermarket headunits are fully compatible with the clio display, perhaps search this forum.
Standard display is possible but varies with aftermarket headunits, most will just permanently display 'RENAULT' with the time.
To be able to use your stalk controls you need a wiring loom for your specific make of aftermarket headunit. 172/182 looms come in two variations, 'update list' or...
