I prefer the waffle weave type towels for glass rather than microfibres.

Sounds like the tree sap has etched into it. It might polish out, if you know anyone with a DA or Rotary polisher.

Cool. Just don't do it in the sun, or it'll be a b**ch to get off! The G2 residue remover will just dry instantly before you have time to buff it off.
