Well, I emailed the woman who's car it was today to ask if everything was still OK with it, bad news!
The handbrake failed on saturday night which left the car rolling down the hill she lives on into a lamp post. talk about gutting, eh?
would it be worth me selling it now though?
Thing is the money I would spend on the service would go on making the bodywork mint so mean it's more attractive in that sense.
Yeah has FRSH upto now, it's a spot on car to be honest, just a few dings and dents that make it look tatty!
Basically just seen a car I want top buy but not really possible until Early next year....
The car needs the 36k service and MOT in march.
3 obvious options, but what would my car be worth at each:
1. Sell the car fully serviced and MOT'd etc, what price?
2. Sell the car in Feb with 12...
you have got to be the most annoying person in the world. shut up moaning about your fricking car! if you wanted something faster you should have bought something a bit older and used more money for insurance and running the damn thing. If you hate clios so much why buy a second one, jesus...
I did, pictures don't show it up aswell as it was, only from my phone!
I havn't got a PC at the minute mate so can't do it.
If your local S.Garbett on here has one in Derby and he might be into doing it so drop him a PM and he might be able to sort you out with something.
You really think it's worth that much?!
I thought start low and try and get the interest and get reffered etc, then I can think about charging a bit more?
I'm happy with £30 at the start, fills the days when im doing s**t all and make a bit of extra cash aswell. At first I thought £30 was...
I see what your saying Rich, when I run out I'll look into it.
Also I'm only doing it on the side so I can't charge top dollar, I thought £30 would be something that people would pay, any more then it's asking a bit much for someone who you have never met, leaving your car with them for a few...
depends how you use them I suppose, still i reckon I could clean 10 cars with a bottle of polish and wax for £18, and at £30 a pop I'd be making £300 so still be miles up.
I'll see how it picks up mate, i think this woman wants me to do her mates car, and my aunt wants hers doing aswell so just need to the word to spread really!
mines stuff is nothing too spectacular but it does the job quite well.
yeah, just trying to get people interested in it really.
im doing it all at home aswell so really it depends on people dropping off and picking up, 1 a weekend would be good at the minute just for the extra bit of money though!
was quite surprised how motivated I was, normally cant be bothered...
James, my dads got a decent compressor that I am relying on for the pressures, although I could treat myself to a proper gauge?
Also, I check all of the tyres every 1/2 weeks everytime i clean my car just to be on the safeside, like you say the lower temperatures have affected the tyres but...
hmm, took me about 3.5 hours in total but I wasn't rushing through it.
Charged her £30 which is a fair price I think, car was so nice!
I washed it, 2 bucket thing.
Then the interior, hoovered, steamed the seats, windows, washed everything down etc.
Then went around the outside with some...
Was bored at work the other day so put a little advert up on the intranet for cleaning peoples cars for them.
Got a reply back straight away and cleaned a nice womans Audi A3 yesterday, washed polished and waxed, then full interior stuff aswell.
It was absolutely ditched yesterday when it came...
When manufacturers state the tyre pressures should they be set without any weight on the car? i,e. the car jacked up on that corner whilst the air is put in?
Surely correcting the pressure with the weight on the car will give an innacurate reading?
i bought my first clio with chopped springs, never really had a problem with them to be honest.
was funny as i found out the car had no service history and renault sold it as fully serviced, then i found out about the springs after it was sold to me with a full MOT, needless to say i didnt use...
Re: 20mm and 300 Miles....
looks cool.
just a thought jord, bang some tape over the holes in your doors, imagine how annoying it will be with a little stone in there rattling like fook!
I always give the car a few second to idle once I stop, nothing special just while I sort my seatbelt out and put phone on pocket and take face plate off my stereo.
I also give it a minute or so when starting it up in the morning to just level the idle out a bit so its ready to drive, didnt do...
i got some dark blue 'renault' ones from ebay made by 'top gear' or some shite, nice fit, elastic around the seat base and have velcro sides for the airbags.
work a treat and don't look chav!
i would think lower pressure means it is sucking more air through so the air pressure cannot keep up with the sucking rate?
seems the logical explanation but not sure if it is right.
awesome!
please sell it to him because i've been promised a go in it!!
good luck with the sale and the decision of the V6, although personally a Cat D one wouldn't be my choice...
