On a slightly separate note Dan, I seem to remember you know your way round a VAG 1.8T? Only because the TT needs servicing :o
1*2's, for the performance, are extremely cheap to run IMO. I currently pay a 172 cambelt change a year in tax, lol.
Still enjoying it tbh mate. Seems a great balance between refinement, fun and looks good enough without attracting too much attention to myself in the work's car park.
Averaging 31mpg, just passed its MOT with flying colours but I've noticed a slight creak in the steering which I need to have...
I hate everything about Sam's mini other than the steering and the way it handles! Properly fun to turn in sharp, lift off, dab of oppo, back on the power, repeat. I'm scared to try an S, as I'd probably buy one.
The TT just has lift off understeer, lol.
