Not bad a new car every six months. I feel I'd get a little fed up of just changing to very similar cars every six month.
The Leon is really nice. I'm running a Ibiza FR TDI at the minute.
The convenience pack sounds great. Lack of cruise would put me off a lot of cars. I've become very used to it, though for the right car I could do without it.
Interesting comments regarding the brakes. I thought the brakes on the 200 were awesome?
Well it had 75k on it in April 2010 so not many miles at all recently. I wouldn't worry too much about the history.
Has it still got the sportlines, ktec stealth and ph2 rear lights. I added them to it.
Where are you based mate? Would be great to see the car again. I almost bought it back...
It was mine. I owned it up until April 2010.
It had history when I had it. I had the belts done at NWP and it was timed incorrectly. I know the lad who bought it had them re done in about August.
AlexS owned it before me, I travelled 250 miles to buy it from him. It was tidy when I sold it...
I'd probably go for the ph1. There is just something special about them. My 182 was a miles better car, but if I could have either of my 1*2's back I think it would be the ph1.
As above. I've just sold my very tidy 182 for just over £2500 with 81k. I sold it at a lean price but that was reflected by the fact it went within two days.
So essentially there are bargains out there.
Nice drop on the Cooksports. I had them on my 182. They were really nice on a smooth road, no body roll at all, like a go kart. Pot holes etc weren't nice to hit though, that could be said for any lowering spring though.
Great product overall.
NWP Really??? Says it all. Genuine Renault Cat fitting kit is what you want.
I wouldn't let NWP sell me a mars bar they'd find a unique way of cocking that up.
FYI I used a genuine cat fitting on my scorpion decat and it was faultless over the 14 months and 12k miles I owned the car with it on.
Ok then neither of them must have been trying. The C320 driver must have chased me up to 100mph to give me a thumbs up because I looked like a nice lad.
I'm not saying 182's are rocket ships. I was just saying my experience.
Well he didn't get away. I stayed dead level with a C320 CDI too up to 100. He gave me a thumbs up actually he was an older guy.
I've got no reason to lie. Maybe the 350 wasn't trying but the 320 certainly was.
If you're going to get a 1*2 for motorway miles then keep it standard. They're actually pretty comfortable cars in standard trim.
Inevitably if you're like me it will end up with a decat exhaust system and lowering springs and as such not be as comfortable as it should be.
I've just switched...
Welcome mate. Nice cars the Clio Dynamique.
You were born in 96 though! That makes me feel old. I joined here at 17 too and I've just realised how fast the last 6 years have gone.
When you add corners though that comes down to skill. You're an experienced circuit driver so I can well believe you can pass an average driver in a Leon TDI.
There is something wrong with your Clio if a Bora TDi is keeping up unless it is heavily modified.
I had a run with a C320 CDI and later a C350 CDI in my 182 keeping up until we both backed off at 100 ish and they are near 400 lbft monsters.
I'd take a dci over a 1.2 anyway. Martin172 will be in here at some point he loves them. Have a look on cliodci.net I believe Martin is involved in that too.
