the PH2 172 cup (jc5-129) as well as some early PH2 172 will fit a PH1 172. Basically any jc5 box with a speedo drive fitted to the gearbox will fit straight on. The later models use the abs for the speedo, unless your not bothered about the speedo then they'll all fit.
I'd wait until one of...
i did not know this, although i haven't done any night time driving to piss anyone off but i think they'll be coming off sooner rather than later then.
you could also look at buying a HID kit, my cup had one already fitted when i bought it and they look identical to the xenons. About 30-40 quid on eBay, not sure on what K would be the right ones to order though.
whipped the old alternator off my 172 cup today but completely forgot to take note of how the belt was fitted, has anyone got a diagram of how they go on? i assume no special tools need? manage to snap the big live wire as i was undoing the nut but i think i can get away with stripping back the...
just read through this from the start... absolutely love this! s**t off a shovel comes to mind.... what power will this be running, you staying with the standard 260bhp or going for abit more?
also what made you paint the engine black, harder to spot oil leaks and all that or doesn't this...

thats why i said 2k+
now that you've mentioned the rear beam i just had a closer look and yeah the rear beam does look shagged (driverside rear wheel seems to be sitting to far back) completely forgot how common the rear beam was!
time to agree that i've spotted a shed :o
although i did miss the engine problem bit but i still think that this is a good buy, yes it looks scruffy but that isn't hard to sort out and wouldn't cost a great deal. They go for 2k+ in mint condition
yeah it doesn't look good but i think about 500 quid on it and you'd have a nice mint 205 that would fetch strong money if you wanted to buy/sell.
iirc all the slam panels were either black or a gray/white... not 100% on that.
my 205 xs which was my first car i paid 250 when i was 16... i've...
when you're running a business and a bit of free advertising pops up you take it, simple. I guarantee that more people would click on it at that price just to see the spec.

This has been up for a few months now i reckon you'd get it for 8-900 now, keep talking myself out of not buying it. If i had somewhere to store it i'd probably...
