flol, I've not been bothered to look at any GT5 threads for a long time, but coming in here and seeing that pic is priceless tbh. If I didn't rely on the PS3 for Blu-Ray I'd sell it, what a joke.

If the fan on the CPU isn't working and it's powering off after 20 seconds then it does suggest the PC is overheating and turning itself off, if it's a standard CPU cooler it's a good bet it's a bearing fan which has gone (quite common). It should be a cheap fix but would recommend giving the PC...

Yes and the PC is powering on, therefore unlikely to be an issue with the PSU??

Well they've obviously got more then, as the deals are back (they had gone).

Doubtful there is a problem with the power supply, as said you need to try and isolate the sound but a fan is a good bet.

Both my Elites are Jaspers, very light use as well, but I swear the drive on the one in the computer room is no better than my launch premium (which got RROD and binned)

On the limit its definitely harder to catch, anyone saying its easier isn't driving well enough (IMHO).

I can't justify upgrading either of my Elites, even with a £150 voucher for Amazon/PC World/Currys/Comet from work.

You have to concentrate a lot more than before with simulation driving on, IMHO whilst it isn't necessarily the easiest to drive, if you want to get used to the mode and handling the M5 is the best on the demo.

The other cars are really annoying, but you can get a few good corners in on a lap

What times are people doing in the M5 then? I've not been on it all night but put a few laps in so far, best time is around 1:44.5

M5 is quite controlable, most rewarding drive so far.

Rewind should get turned off anyway.

I turned everything off straight away with sim steering on, the only way to go IMHO.

Simulation steering definitely is going to take some getting used to. I managed to roll the 458 four times then go on to win the race (albeit the rest of the race was a struggle as the car was in a right state)
