K-tec is tried and tested and i'd imagine cheaper. I'd go for that.
All depends on how long your keeping car. K-tec will last at least 3 years I'd imagine!
Yes Gregg your correct :) Although there has been bad news after that FB status lol!
The good news is that its running and mapped, although only to 190/160. The restrictor in place is too small, but I need the car back so going to get it tomorrow and then take it back in a couple of weeks to...
Paul, What are you doing on here? You have a poorly car to look at ;) lol!
Its not sorted yet, problem must be something stupid though as so much has been checked!
Try making the rear a little a softer, then go for a test drive and see what its like. Keep getting it a little bit softer until it feels like possibly going to understeer and then wind back quarter turn/two clicks
I would of thought they would need to update the carrier part wouldn't they? And would just give out one firmware. I don't mean it would be unlocked to any network, just the ones getting the iPhone
Right, I'm using a jailbroken and unlocked 3GS. Currently on 3 network. Just got my new Orange sim through. Anyway, just wondering, once iPhone's allow Orange sims in a couple weeks time, by loading the latest official firmware on, it should be unlocked to Orange shouldn't it?
Any help...
I have faith, just Saturday is starting to look more unlikely :( I guess he has up until Thursday to find the problem then the next day mapping! Fingers crossed anyway :D
By the sounds of things it does seem like one of them tiny little faults that take an age to find out the problem! I don't believe I've got Paul completely puzzled anyway, so he must be able to get it done :) Just time consuming!
If its not done Saturday you'll all be seeing my car before me :(
Yea, the car is still running lean. Every sensor has been checked and changed, ecu has been swapped, everything has been tested and still running lean :( Paul is actually stumped! Last thing I knew he was taking loom off his car and testing it on mine as he reckons the loom may have a break...
Engine is running sweet as anything, its just running lean/rich, forget which Paul said now. Has tried numerous ways to get it to run right. This is still just running N/A getting it right first! Hopefully will get some good news tomorrow that its 99% ready to come home :D
Brembo Discs, DS2500 pads and some braided hoses will give you an awesome setup, you don't even need the hoses TBH.
What sort of suspension are you running? It maybe be that its not setup correctly, maybe two hard on the front causing you understeer?
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
We had a rolling road day and a friend turned up in his M3. Couldn't get it going at all, even tried the 8 second thing, and loads of other combinations of turning stuff off etc. Could not do it for the life of us lol!
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
Only from a certain amount of power, just due to that extra weight over the drive wheels, it will increase grip quite a bit. I can't remember what the rough crossover is. But yes in a way you are right as there is extra weight to push (rather than...
