Staines store is closed still, Windsor have no stock. I had a look at both White & Black in Apple at Bluewater on Saturday, definite Black for me, White looks cheap.

IIRC You can't get a new iPhone 3G from instore without signing a contract. There are iPhone 3Gs being advertised on eBay as coming without a contract, I don't know what the deal with these is, but they are big money anyway. I'd say your only option is buying the older iPhone which can be...

indeed, to be honest the whole situation for upgraders has been a disgrace (IMHO). It makes me laugh when they say "due to unexpected demand" what did they think? no-one would want one??
