Halifax will give you roughly 5x your wage including deposit. So for example if you earn 20k you would get a mortgage for 100k with a 10k deposit, owing 90k.
Santander offer 4x your wage plus deposit, so with the same deposit and earnings you could buy somewhere for 90k putting down 10k...
I've downgraded twice this year, I sold my TT when I realised that buying house was going to cost more than I thought. I've rented a flat for 2 years and the running costs of the TT were making it hard to save anything on top of paying rent. I bought a ph1, had more fun driving it and running...
Just be patient, market seems a little slow at the minute. I've just sold my third 172 and it took afew weeks, the previous 2 sold in a matter of days.
I want to send her on her way right, there was some corrosion on them that I couldn't get off. Don't want to arrange another collection/delivery and for it not to start. The guy buying it had done a 600 mile round trip! I felt terrible.
Re: Help! Agreed a sale but now she won't start.
Motor factors were 13 quid each, are you sure it's the same ones? There's 3 black ones and a larger yellow one together.
£60 isn't a lot for piece of mind, it could have been alot worse.
Re: Help! Agreed a sale but now she won't start.
I suppose you did, but in less detail. Not sure if that warrants a drink! ;)
Just ordered 3 new relays from Renault as they all look as if they have seen better days, £60.
Re: Help! Agreed a sale but now she won't start.
I owe you a drink!!
I know, a garage could have had it all day replacing various parts and still not fixed it. Could of ended being a fairly big bill to foot.
Are these the same relays as mentioned below?
Pull all the relays out and check for corrosion.
Thats what it was, cleaned all the relays up, put them back in and she fired up first time.
Cheers lads, really helped me out there!
I didn't even know there was a fuse box cover behind the passenger headlight. I'll do that first thing in the morning as I left it at work.
If the imob light goes out does that mean this issue is definately not realted to it?
Cheers shepperdspie, you've been most helpful.
Any more ideas of what could cause this?
How would a garage approach this sort of thing, trial and error? Would it need to go to Renault if it's imob related?
Cheers for the help already.
Pressing the trip button on the end of the stalk to reset imob? Anyone know how to do it on a PH1. Do you let the needle go to 160mph and then return to 40mph?
Just taken the crank sensor off, it was very dirty. Gave it a clean but has made no difference.
Car was driving spot on this morning, can't believe it.
Imobiliser light goes off.
Fuel punp is priming.
Recovery guy has just left and thinks it is the Imobiliser.
How do I go about locating the crank sensor?
As above, my 172 was meant to be collected today by it's new owner, come to leave work and it won't start. What are the chances of that.
When you turn the ignition you can hear it trying but the engine doesn't kick in. It's never done this before, always started first time everytime.
I...
I know I will, I'm gutted. But I want to put
a 15% deposit down on a house that I'm in the process of buying, so it will be replaced with a shed for the next couple of months.
