Will deffo be going for the longer trumpets James,I think I might go for the carbon air box as well and possibly a set of ARP bolts...
I think just seeing your car James is going to be painful on my wallet,if I do go for the Itb's I will look into a nos set up as well for 1/4 mile work.
Thanks dmallet, still got to love the ph1's
Have spoken with matt at Tdf with regards to having the EC1 fitted,it seems that there is no real point in having the ecu fitted at the moment and would cost more if I decide to go with ITB's which is looking more like the case.So will just buy the ecu for now and get it fitted with Itb kit in a...
I was thinking of doing something similar and buying the MWM ph1 turbo and changing the engines over, but seemed like to much hassle so going to stick with mine.
My car is similar spec at the moment 438'S/cup alternator set up,has a Milltek with sports cat and v6 air box also here is a recent dyno graph at TDF ktec has the same dyno now so you should see similar results.
Ktec are great as a mail order company and there service is first class but they also lied to me about what gains my car made when I had there 438 cams fitted and after a few phone calls for them to return my old camshafts they still have never returned them to me.
Saying this I was happy with...
Could still be waterpump and dephaser or just dephaser, had a few mechanics look at mine and got all sorts of reasons from piston rings to the engine is fooked mate.Mine was also fine one day and then just sounded like a bag of s**t the next.Do you not have AA or rac, then get it recovered to freds.
Sounds like when mine went it was a combination of dephaser water pump and power steering pump all fooked,I had only had my cams fitted the month before and that was by a specialist who did not advise me to change the dephaser, hence they won't see my car again.
Done the water pump myself and TDF...
I don't think thats the dephaser mate won't make the car cut out, sounds like it is running rich,I would start with plugs ht leads and coil pack,if they seem ok it could be the map sensor,or even a injector problem. Can you smell fuel at all.
I am looking at getting one of these ecu's just wanting to know which one people have chosen to go for and why.I know that the gen90 is plug and play less hassle to fit but is more expensive than the ec1 which requires a different loom.
Is it as simple as that and its just a matter of choice.
