They are all pretty much the same. Early phase 1 like mine had cable throttles which some people prefer.
The advice I see most on here is to go with a cup model rather than a 182. This will already be 89kgs lighter and have the aircon removed.
All depends on how hardcore you intend to go though...
Mine is rusting from the inside as well. The paint is bubbling in front of the rear arch. I also have some rust on the arches and the fuel filler cap.
I have bought some rust bullet http://rustbulletuk.com/ and am going to coat it all and hope for the best.
Had a bit of time this weekend to do a few jobs.
Started by removing the strut brace. I'm going to sell it at it gets in the way of the throttle cable and I think it has accelerated its demise.
The bay now looks like this:
Shame about the holes where the brace was mounted.
Then I had this a...
Today I changed the oil & filter. Only done 2k miles since the last change!
Also changed the upper engine mount for a vibratechnics while I waited for the oil to drain. Pulled the engine forward when I did it as I read I should. Now I can't get it in first or reverse very easily lol
Will have to...

???
I used to have this exact wheel. I sold it for a 330mm one though as I found it a bit too small
Definitely replace the seats. You don't need buckets, just get some nice reclining seats. I had Cobra Misano's.
They were lower than standard and 10 times more comfortable.
I found the standard seats absolutely awful and like you had to change them or get rid of the car after about 6 weeks...
Send your key off for repair?

I had the same problem with mine. They key rattled so I knew there was something up with it. It...
I know these aren't standard wheels, but I made these centre caps. Just buy some plain caps from ebay in the right size, then get some cheap renault caps from ebay also. Take the diamonds off and glue them onto the plain ones. Hey presto you've saved a fortune
Is she over 16? They have a minimum age at this circuit. You can spectate but I think you have to pay £10. Better off ringing the circuit in the morning to make sure
I have checked my ph1 and it's really bad! What do I do? Drive it til it falls apart then break it?
I assume the cost of fixing is way more than the car with worth?
My car only made 161bhp. But it's stripped out, decent tyres and uprated suspension and it goes great. I've haven't come across many other clios that are much faster around the track so no need to worry to much about the power.
I would however love to get mine up to 180bhp! It's just too...
There's no real difference. A 182 will cost you more, but won't perform any better. You need to pick the best condition one you can find for your budget rather than worry if its a 172 or 182.
A 172 cup would be a better option as its already got rid of 89kg I think
