It only makes the noise when the clutch is pressed in and no I don't think it sounds like that. Is that what that is James, shagged clutch release bearing?
It didn't seem as bad this morning when it had cooled down.
If you disconnect the clutch cable under the bonnet and manually press in the clutch mechanism you can feel a grinding. Would this indicate my release bearing has had it?
Bought a set of 16 inch oz f1s yesturday, fancied a change from the red. But unfortunately the old girl has developed clutch/gearbox issues so the refurb/tyres might have to wait afew weeks.
For a couple of thousand miles I have had a fairly quiet "gurgling"
noise when the clutch peddle has been depressed. It's quite hard to describe this noise, but with the stereo on you couldn't hear it.
Yesturday I noticed it seemed to judder when setting off or reversing. Today it has got worse...
Yeh I think in general people do think the ph2's are better looking with a nicer interior. When I wanted to return to a 172 just before Christmas I decided I either wanted a black ph1 or a cup. I went for a ph1 because of price, a cup with the same miles/history/condition would have cost twice...
Just seen your advert Evil, good luck with the sale.
I sold my last phase 1 in September, it was a decent one but the belts would be due about now and it only had a months tax. I put it on for £2850 and two days later after a lot of interest accepted £2750 for it. The next day a guy 200 miles...
Is it lower in the first pic?
The standard ones do look good, but I think if you give it a clean and take it to the same location on the first pic then those Turinis will look far better!
Looks good mate! I quite like those wheels.
What about some colour coded door handles?
307 splitter would look good, not expensive at all even from the dealers. Comes in two different sizes.
