I've seen that Vee a few times near my house in Laleham and I've seen a Liquid 182 a couple of times going up Kingston Road. There's also a Mars Red Vee as well which I see about occassionally.
I used a CG for a short while in my 172, I found it to be a good device, but also found it fiddly to operate and had concerns over it causing damage to the belt.
although the 172 I had for 4 years was my main car, for the last 2 years of ownership I actually drove our dci 65bhp on a daily basis and didn't find it a problem in comparison to the 172, sure it lacked the sheer raw power and grunt of the 172, but it wasn't short of power, it was a very...
I don't agree with the slow comments, I've had a 172 and currently have a 225, I still wouldn't call the dci 65 slow. It is more than adequate for someone who is too young/doesn't have the money/isn't a performance car enthusiast. The DCI has got to be worth the extra money for the cheap tax...
I've done 22K miles in a dci 65bhp and 40k in a 1.2 and recommend it over the 1.2 16v, much nicer and smoother to drive quickly than a 1.2, as said better fuel economy and CHEAP to tax. They are nippy little cars.

Sold it soon after
Crashed
Not been able to afford to run it
Had no end of trouble with the car
the standard Renault mount can in no way support the Magnex backbox, it weight a tonne, I fabricated my own mount using a Ford mount and a few other bits and pieces, held it nice and neat close the the bumper and it didn't move. (3.5" twin)
tread carefully with Motorpoint mate, customer services are sh*te and I had no end of trouble with them when purchasing my 172. As said, if I was going for a 197 i think it would only be the R27 version, in either Black or Nimbus. But also, agree they are a lot of money considering the prices...
