Thanks mate i will give it a go but thi idle seems ok ie it does not hunt or go up and down so not sure ?

Just been out in it again and thinking is it just a rough idle . Car runs spot on nice power no flat spots good mpg ??? Is this just how they are on idle . It idles rough cold, warm does not matter .

Not realy it idles ok and does not hunt or anything and does not ever die just every now and then it sounds like it is going to die and then is ok ??? but just realy lumpy on tick over

Im running the old mans car / my old one till get something soon and the idle is realy rough and not smoth if that makes sence some times sounds like its going to die but never does and drives spot on just this idle that does not sound right ??? Get a Mk1 172 . Raw and light like a cup and can get them for about £1500 now :)

161 BHP @ Sussex R/R that was in std form .

I had a K-Tec stelth on my Mk 1 172 and was great fitting a bit of a pain but made a nice noice and helped with the revs and deare i say a little more power .

10 BHP from just a air filter is a lot :S
