You can polish or paint it... For polishing you need to wet sand the surface to a smooth finish then use a polishing machine to get the mirror finish.

I used to go from Alfreton to Matlock, easy ride going as its mostly flat / down hill (apart from a couple of inclines).. But most of the ride back is uphill.

You should still get 'turbo' noise when you load it up / revving the car...
