Well Argos came up trumps. They were being hesitant as it was "well outside" of it warranty period. Copied in the director to my emails by obtaining their email from http://www.ceoemail.com/ . I then had the directors office on the case. Essentially it was pick a new TV from there on in. :smile...

It is, but I guess it's fair. The place has said they'll inspect there and then and shouldn't be much more than 30 mins. Yes very much a store credit if I can so I can get something other than Samsung..lol

Update from my end. I have to get an independent report and send a copy to Argos. If it's a hardware fault they will reimburse me for the inspection and either repair or offer me a new TV. Got someone coming round today.

I use mine several times a week. Watched Jurassic park and mad max (don't waste your time) on the weekend. I'd be lost without mine. The mrs uses it for catching up on series. I cannot remember the last time I download a film.

My apple TV used to be up and down. My amazon fire is click and play on any films. If it isn't, it's your internet.

I'll have to ask my mate. Pretty sure the one he bought was plug in and you are away. You do need a sky aerial though.

If you want free sky buy an openbox. My mate has one and it literally has every channel in HD. You even get the schedule like sky.
