How is the haldex unit failing a worry? They're very reliable lol
I hate to say it but look for hairline cracks when the wheel is off. Fingers crossed it's just not sealed or a dodgy valve.
The MK4 golfs can be funny. It'll prob work when you plus it all back in. My mate had similar with a door module.
Oh and check fuse 14. It could be that.
Exactly. I tried saying that in the golf R thread about tuning boxes. It's easy enough for them to see.
Waitey, I've missed it. How many miles have you done already?
That's all very well but what if it's not the wheel bearings?
When you've got it next, select first and lift the clutch slowly. If the gearstick moves at all, send it back.
EDIT - I say this as when my faux by four gearbox in the Audi went it started by sounding like a faint wheel bearing noise...
If you're going to get a fugly prefacelift. At least do it proper - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-JDM-Honda-Civic-Type-R-EP3-Championship-White-K20A-VTEC-Integra-Dc5-ek9-/351683796758?hash=item51e1fcdf16:g:1wsAAOSwsN9XC7Vz
Cant remember the last time I saw a 309. My brothers mate used to have 3. Two grey ones one of which was a turbo technics number and a goodwood. I can remember being about 14 thinking they were rapid.
Offft...
