cheers mate, certainly wont be going to those lengths, i wont be splitting them as in all fairness they are tidy just need a spruce up. wana make them shiney tho :D
picked up these bay boys for the mk1... pure BBS p**n however they do need a clean up, cant use any wheel acid as they are just polished metal but want to give them a decent going over, anyone recomend any products that will lift the dirt and grime without damaging them?cheers
tbh i knew it would get broken, they usually break when they come out so i was on borrowed with with it, its then been to kent and back, im actually chuffed it wasnt me who broke it so now i get a nice shiney new one with no scratches haha
from what i saw last year houx was pretty cool, wild and loud and deffo a boys club type camp but a step up from some of the others, massive walk from our camp tho, meeting the wifey on the 1st night i thought it would be a great idea to walk down with a bottle of wine... by the time id met him...
well the body shop is our body shop estimators husbands and she works at our place tuesdays, so i come in this morning to a rather guilty looking lucy, im expecting, we've crashed your car or something but turns out when they were putting the windscreen back in they cracked it, i think she was...
because i had the best time with my other mates, loved everything about it, the campsite the chilledness, brought 2 of my mates along too.plus we didnt even wash the car once :P
It's yellow, its an old beetle colour, Texas yellow If you google it.
Winst should be back Monday :) assuming the bonnet is right. This is going on in leaps and bounds now! Shame it's the end of the season but meh means I can get it ready for that really early show in Telford
paint update : was due to come back today but the body shop isnt happy with the bonnet, so that needs to be done, im actually pretty chuffed that they decided that rather than shipping it back and waiting for me to.
its almost done, exhaust is on now, will probably replace it with a better one at some point, mechanically it just needs the fuel pump, tracking and wipers sorting then its MOT time!!!
so golfie is now painted, with 2pac paint, this isnt laqured. i want to give it the best start i can so wanted to wax/ polish it when i get it back... or am i best to leave it a week to dry?any hints/ tips? :D
i feel a little guilty tbh lol, its a propper body shop with propper customers and Steve has pushed everything else to the side because he loves querky projects like the golf, even got his 10 year old son on it after school haha!!its now been painted!! im waiting on some pictures because im like...
