Welcome to 197 ownership and especially the price you will have to pay with the poor Recaro seats covering. Have you checked out Edge Automotive for the re-trim. Steve's work is outstanding and I will be using him when I can afford to get my interior done.
Re: Silver 182 - Purple Porsche Wheels - Recaro Pole Position - and a well lit carpar
Really like that and well done on doing something different. What other plans have you got for the car?
Well done Steviant it's based on a VW Beetle chassis although this one has a Golf 1.8 Turbo engine mid engine layout. Sorry no prizes but admiration for your automobile knowledge/research.
And the winner was:
Chris and I braved the -7C weather to freeze our arses off to bring you pics of this event today.
My car of the day - It was immaculate!!
The Riley Elf was a real treat for me

Saab V4 - Interesting as it wallowed through corners
Colin McRae Focus
VW Golf
Escort Mk 2
Mini Cooper...
It's got a full Roll cage and two Sparco Evo seats so suggest that it's someone's track toy or a Rally car. Don't like the scheme myself but may be linked to a sponsor's product.
Chris, will meet you at 9.00 at Tescos tomorrow morning as there is no snow forecast although it's going to be freezing, will have to dig out my thermals.
There are quite a few places that hire Splitties, my son hired one for a week in Cornwall and had a great time holding up traffic looking as cool as fcuk

Re: Any one want to freeze there a**e off watching some rally cars at Goodwood ?
I may be up for this as it was a good day when we went a couple of years ago.
I'll have to learn how to scan the graph with my new printer then Will. Great pics Luke especially of my sunshine bus.
Just for those that disbelieve the honesty of K-Tecs Rollers, this time last year my car made 208.8 bhp at Surrey Rolling Road. On saturday the reading was 201.1 bhp and I...

When I bought my current car from a main dealer I thought to HPi it which came back as totally clear. Was fitting the compulsory Silvervisions and thought what is that paint run near the rear light cluster. Found another one in the door shut. My son works as a paint sprayer and confirmed that...
Definitely go for a R27 as it has Recaros, cup suspension and outstanding handling as standard. Avoid early 197s as the gearboxes were diffferent. I would also say make sure it has xenon lights as well but that is purely my choice. Much better than the cornering lights. Climate control is also...
I'm 54 and drive a bright yellow roller skate. People take the mick about driving a lairy car at my age and suggest that I should be in something more befitting my age. My reply is always that for the last thirty years I've driven boring family cars because that is what was necessary to...
As our esteemed Area Rep is too busy to organise a meet, feel it's time to start a thread for a Meet as we've not met for so long. So the above time and place okay for everyone.

Goodwood have announced the details for this year's Breakfast Clubs. Slim pickings for us Clio owners and no chance of getting on the Pit straight then. Can see me taking the Elf to a few though.
