I think there are fast ones and slow ones, mine had done 60k with decent service history, was quite free revving, I did 10k between home and uni it it, you could floor it in 5th and it would pull steadily round to 110 no bother. My ex girlfriends identical car was slow as anything though...
They handle well standard out of all the superminis and there is something immensely satisfying about thrashing the tits off a small engine and maintaining momentum, I used to love mine.
80 is the one to have.
Good cars but you feel the additional weight over the front axle when pushing on.
Expensive when they go wrong though as Mike says, only good for about 130k before you start getting issues.
Good advise from Steve, in summary its a little overpriced.
The market is flooded with these so don't buy the first one you see, needs to be mint for that cash.
Yep, change the lambda, drain the old shitty fuel out and stick £20 of something decent in there along with some fuel additive (redex etc), then a good old italian tune up down your nearest ring road.
I sold a silver ZS earlier on this year, 1 lady owner from new with 32k on a W plate, was minter than mint. I ve had an imperial one in the past too and that was on 50k, neither had been thrashed (until i got them!) I know what you mean though, proper uncomfy!
Please enlighten me as to how you would check whether a cambelt, had or hadn't been changed, other than looking in the service book?!
Don't tell me they just whip the cambelt covers off whilst doing the bonnet catch!! Unbelievable..
The cambelt change would have been put on the 25 point check...
;) Knowsit.
Sills are original on this although is has had front wing, front panel and a panels, all heritage parts. Even a shed is worth £2k now, i ve been told this ones worth about £4-4.5k.
I ve been tempted to put the bigger wheels and arches on it, but the bigger wheels don't do much...
LOL, nicely put Daniel.
The market is flooded with clio sports, why your looking at that is beyond me, complete shed. Any dealer that advertises a car in that state obviously doesn't value their reputation.
Usually any sign of damp in a car means its been left standing somewhere for a while...
