Cheers, do you think a 3100 would be a better bet, saw people recommending that in here? Or would the images be better under low light. More concerned about the grain! Its rarely sunny here so sometimes have to crank the ISO up.
Can anyone recommend one? D60 is starting to piss me off. Anything above 400 ISO and it looks grainy. I can edit sure, but when you can see the grain in the photos when you preview on the camera itself it starts to get a bit shitty. Especially when I see you lot posting images at 2000 ISO and...
Is there a good photography mag worth buying? Just to have a read through, preferably one with a few photography tips for a noob. Had a look in Sainbury tonight but there were various and wasnt sure.
Been messing with my 300mm today, the robin is in poor light at low ISO so had to edit it a bit.

I think the 40mm lens seems to get in its own way sometimes. Its great for Bokeh actually and produces some crisp images (Well I think it could potentially but Im a noob):

The problem is with closeups or what I believe to be 'proper macro' lol. If you...
Id say ive learned to control my self indulgence when it comes to detailing gear, but actually when I think about it theres very little I dont have. I even have an Air Force Blaster!
Still sucks no matter what I do. I took 10 photos of different birds in this location earlier and this was the most clear. Tried full apetures, different ISO's, white balances etc. Without getting closer or reducing the zoom this is all I can get.
its a non VR 55-200mm mate. ive bought a 70-300mm VR which I havent got yet. From what I can gather its pretty sharp up to 200mm, then the last 100mm is still good but obviously not quite top notch.
Ive tried different speeds and ISO's but theyre all the same at 200mm. Just slightly blurry.
Are the cheap ebay £5er "octopus" and "gorilla pod style" things any good? Like atall? Dont fancy paying for a genuine one if the ebay special things will do the trick?

Yeah Ive found its OK unless its dusk, then the pics are really noisy on 1600 ISO. Ive bought a VR 70-300 Lens so maybe Ill get some better shots off with that it was pretty cheap so I can always re sell it.
Rekon I should get rid? Was going to buy a new lens for it but Im tempted to get rid of the D60 as well now. Woud prefer to stay Nikon so I can keep my Lenses but people seem to rave about cannon.
