Turn the front wheels to full lock and that should give you access to the shock absorber bolts - measure the distance between the top of the top bolt and the top of the bottom bolt.
Hey presto you have your bolt spacing.
If you don't trust them not to 'abuse' it - don't let them borrow it at all...
The factory rev limits are safe enough assuming reasonable precautions are taken.
Such a shame when things like this happen,
especially after all the (excellent) work you have put in changing the engine etc etc.

I cut the cable off a dead lamda sensor and put that in the second lambda hole on the decat.
The actual second sensor is plugged in and tucked up neatly above the heatshield. Hey presto no dash lights :p
