So 27 pages later of pissing about and theres what, 6 or 7 of us off CS who have actually bothered to go through with the deal so far? lol. Hardly the flood gates opening and the 200 market being swamped as all of the doom sayers predicted.
How much is the upped mileage because at £0.06 per mile you could knock up 10,000 (22k instead of 12k) for £600. So if your upped mileage deal comes out more than that your worse off.
I think i'll just drive it like normal and see, no point me upping the mileage incase its un-needed so to speak.
Im guessing this still requires a gearbox oil drain like the Mk2s did Danny? Might want to point that out before he goes removing the switch from the side of the gearbox lol.
i feel like a broken record here but seriously, a full 4 wheel alignment not your local tyre fitter/Quickfit style "laser" alignment.
Part of the 4 wheel alignment is turning the steering wheel from bump stop to bump stop (side to side) which if done shows the steering wheel being off centre...
It was 4 months due to the August factory shut down but from what ive read people are now being told December when they are ordering but obviously im guessing which options, colours etc will change that so dont take my word on it.
^ Have to see how it works out Gally. Renault might not be...
Plus if you order now, it will arrive in December and be an awesome Christmas present to yourself....
I was basically the same Jenic. When i added up what id paid on the 172 in my years ownership it worked out about the same. When i got a travel allowence from work of £220 p/m it was a no...
As always JP your time and effort is greatly appreciated. Just a shame it got dirty again thanks to Sundays weather! First pics i have of my 200 Cup so thankyou also for those. Time to update my avatar :)
Harpham i did the same, when i added up what id paid on the 172 in my past year it worked...
BBC Weather now says:
Sunday
It will be cloudy and misty with outbreaks of heavy rain. Rain will clear most areas this afternoon. Southerly winds will increase to strong for a time today.
Sunday night
Rain is expected to clear away this evening for a time, although some rain will return...
Basically. Think of it as depreciation, if you buy any new car outright you would be paying the same as what you are on this deal in lost value however at least with this offer you know exactly what it will be worth in 2yrs time so its less of a gamble.
Harpham post a picture of your dashboards "shed trophy" to satisfy daveski :p
Love the reflection shots, bet your GFs garage is handy for your increasing detailing OCD lol
I think what Dave is trying to admit is attending dogging sessions?? Brave.
BBC reckons Sunday will be sunny intervals anyway so shouldnt be a problem :)
Like i said in my previous reply. Your local QuickFit/Tyre Fitting laser alignment job does sweet FA for your steering wheel position they only bother with the wheels. It has to be a place that can offer full 4 wheel alignment.
Find somewhere nearby that can offer you a "4 wheel alignment".
Your typical wheel alignment QuickFit laser job wont cut it. You need a full alignment to cure this.
I used: http://www.alignmycar.co.uk to locate somewhere local that offers 4 wheel alignment using something called a Hunter...
I honestly had no idea this topic would go this way.
I was expecting there to be a tried and tested combination of products that everyone used as they were claimed "best" and followed by the masses, much like Turini's to quote an old favorite lol. I appreciate the responses none the less, but...
Sorry dave i doubt its worth it really as im still being a good boy with bedding in, so it will be pretty uninspiring to say the least.
JP will have my car on Sunday from 9am~?? as hes waxing/sealing it for me so we could possibly be late as well :(
No problem, its nice to get some answers finally i didnt mean to complicate things i was just trying to provide all the facts. Richy22 that is perfect thank you!
How does that matter? There are lots of cars out there but that never stops people asking "which car for £5k" for example. How is that different to me asking what products are highly recommended and i should purchase for protecting my new cars paintwork?
It doesnt matter this whole thing seems to have got over complicated by the fact its a new car? It was just a simple request of:
"I want to protect my paintwork, what products do you recommend for this?"
But for some reason turned into a "dont let the dealer wash you car" / "dont attempt it...
Not really like that Gally. I wanted to buy the products so i could see them being applied and learn the best technique and that way i would have the same products myself to try at a later date :)
Yeah basically it appears the concensus is:
- Dont let the dealer wash your car
- Dont ask what products to use thats the detailers issue
Unsure how im supposed to ever learn about this if im basically being told its not my concern but thats another issue, right now i just want my car...
Yeah i understand where your coming from, i am afterall a total noob to this as my knowledge doesnt really extend past the 2 bucket method, a wash mit and a drying towel. Ive since ordered a Karcher and Snowfoam to help and getting my car protected while its new is the next step.
But i...
