Had the same problem the holder just unclips from the wiring.
I went and got another bulb holder and it still didn't work, ended up cutting the wires and putting a new connector on.
Well I done computing at uni 4 years ago, time flies and I'm getting on a bit!! Will definitely try and get some certification as I don't think the stuff I learned from uni helps much in the real world.
Going to go have a look at the training guides for the MCDST and see if it looks straight...

I'm just going to make up my own site and host the pics of that. You should check out flickr, it is better but limits you to 200 pictures until you need to upgrade and start paying.
btw the Nikon 50mm is a nice lens...
