I know (or know of) a guy who has one of these (or certainly used to up until not that long ago). He's got to be close to the end now given he was about 60 y/o when I first met him in the 90's. Let me know if you want a note dropping through his door
I will be polishing away remnants of this lovely piece of abstract artwork which was so kindly left on my roof the other evening.... :ROFLMAO:
They must like me really otherwise they've have scratched it in, I'm sure!
In reference to my post above, I must say I have a new level of respect for guys that work on “every day” cars as part of their job/business.
It’s been a so many years now since I cleaned a car that hasn’t had some type of regular care, and I’d forgotten how hard it was. Her car is only 3 years...
The gf’s car goes back Monday in readiness for her new one. She lives in the sticks so as well as all the dirt and mud (honestly it looked like it was baked on to the paint) it’s also covered in scratches from all the narrow lanes. Wish I’d not volunteered to do it tbf as even after 4 or so...
No where near as detailed as yours (and not completely accurate either as I do not use "Trucknet" and definitely should NOT be listened to for MOT advice) but still a little disconcerting...
Here’s what I found on Nickw88 based on publicly available information:
🧰 ClioSport.net (Renault/Clio...
Been using it again today, sooo useful to me right now!
On a separate note, I need CS to tell me whether I'm borderline insane...
So, does anyone else make the extra effort to be polite to it i.e. always saying please and thank you and praising it for a job well done? I feel mental typing this...
I'm far from techy when it comes to actual knowledge, but I'd like to think I'm a quick learner so have been playing around with this for a while now.
Over the last few weeks I've come under a little bit of pressure to ensure everything in my department meets our newest ISO accreditation which...
I didn’t realise quite how crazy prices are now until the missus was after a new car (the work) recently. Anything less than £60k just seemed crap.
There were well specced G series M4’s pushing £100k at BMW and I’m sure mine was “only” around £60k OTR. That’s a crazy jump up in one model...
Parked in the works car park today. No idea who’s it is, assume it’s legit as it comes up as a 1.6 but my knowledge on them is very limited unfortunately
I might be getting confused, but is that not the same one from the Grand Tour? Guessing it can't be seeing as they chopped it up, but the CNT numberplate makes me think it is as I vaguely remember them joking about it...
Still f***s be off that when my 430D was nicked, I only got a £15k payout (plus a little more with the ombudsman’s help). That was nearly 3 years ago, it was only on around 50k at the time and had practically every desirable option 😡
Again, awesome, thank you.
Loosely on topic (and excuse my ignorance if this has been posted somewhere already), but will there be any "professional" photography on the day? Wouldn't mind a few nice photos to remember it by after I've binned it in to the sea.
Without wishing to come across as sounding tight (which I am, mainly due to ///M tax killing me off), do any of you beautiful, kind souls happen to have a go-pro and mount that I could borrow for a few laps during CSF? I may buy one in the future, but not likely just for this. Was going to get...
By no means a sure fire way of checking, but what numbers do you have displayed on the iDrive sport dials? And what number do they supposedly go up to under full load? Might tell you whether it's been messed with or not.
I've said this before, but for real world driving my 430D was a better can than my M4 and probably the "best" car I've owned.
Plenty quick enough, handled well for a wafty diesel, cheap as chips to run and it never let me down. Not a single repair (that I can think of anyway) in nearly 5 years...
No chance for me to get a photo of it, but a gorgeous racing green and yellow-striped Caterham came absolutely HOONING past me earlier today. Must have a death wish though given the speed he was driving, and without a helmet.
