Whenever you like, just make sure the cars clean first. prep the trim first too, helps if you scrub at it with APC to remove any polish marks first and an IPA wipedown wont go a miss either. Thats what I do. Usually re apply every 3 washes or so. Its good on rubber too so long as you clean it...
