4 years NCB and you want to spend a fortune making a rep :S
Reps are a waste of time imo, mods to improve the look of the car yes but trying to make it look like something it isnt just doesnt do it for me.
Correct. I'm currently waiting to find out how damaged the rub strip is, i'm unshure if it will ever fit properly.
If it is undamaged, i'm going to take both off sand and prep them, then get someone to spray them for me.
If it is damaged then I will be getting new ones, then spraying them...
As above realy, what do you lads think it will cost to have the door pulled out and sort out the bump strip?
Going to get some quotes on Monday. Brun was very helpful today when I went to Arnold Clarke and he's put me on to a guy who i'll be getting a quote off, thanks mate.
Got no idea...
^^^ Yeh, going to post pics in a minute. Door could do with a spray to sort a few scratches but i'm just going to leave them as i'm changing it in August anyway.
Will need a bump strip and door poping out.
lol nope, but I have a Gf and there are millions of girls around.
The chance to drive a Vee would come along hundreds of times less in a lifetime than the chance to shag some girl.
I stand by my decision.
^^^^ +1
I cringe if it ever happens in my car, usually in damp conditions when you go for it from a junction a bit too aggressivly but not enough to spin the wheels up properly.
Only had it happen a few times though, make sure i avoid it.
Lol Was waiting for pics of Mum comments.
Your right about spacial awareness though.
Anyway i'm going to get some pics soon, then got and get some quotes.
Not the best way to spend a Saturday.
My Mum has reversed into my car, doors oushed in, rubstip fucked, thats all I can tell so far because the cars dirty and its dark.
Gutted tbh because I was going to give it a nice bath tomorrow ready forn the NW meet on Sunday.
I have forgiven her though, no point in falling out with your...
He's obviously an idiot. A ph1 172 isn't that much of a risk they're only worth £2500ish.
The type of accident you have due to a fast car is when your going to quick down a country lane and hit a tree or something.
I'd be interested to see what percentage of accidents in higher group cars...
Good to see it back, and your insurance unaffected.
Bet its a bit gutting getting back into the 1.2 after the 1.9 derv, must feel much quicker than the 1.2.
Lot of work now to put everything back on it etc.
Gutted mate, but running into the back of someones car in the middle of a recession isn't a good idea tbh because a whiplash claim is an easy £1600-2000.
Nightmare to lose your NCB though especially when you want to insure the 172.
If I lost my NCB i'd be changing my car to a diesel for the...
I'm not a diesel fan atall but i definately should have gone for a dci.
Gf's Mum has a dci 80 and it feels far quicker than mine, the 1.2 16v never feels to be pulling hard where as the dci 80 in 2nd/3rd actually does pack a bit of punch.
I wouldn't think twice about chopping mine in for...
Only happened to me once, nail in the tyre, major repair.
Some pikeys did once let 3 of my tyres down though, thought that they where slashed at first, luckily was just stones in the dustcaps.
I know how you feel mate, although i'm on my 1st car I had the same experience with my scooter, it was only a 50cc yes but it was my baby and at 16 I was very proud to be mobile and it was great fun, about a sporty as a 50cc can be.
I'm sure the BMW will be a great replacement though, opens...
s**t I meant St Helens mate. Its definately St Helens, Jord gets his parts off him, and i've spoken to him via PM on here a while back asking where abouts he was from after I seen his car there.
