Very tidy for the money, you could make some cash back by selling a few of those modifications off it.
With regard to the exhaust is it a back box or a full system, J05H has a powerflow jobby and its near enough perfect in terms of sound and fittment.
Agree its not great but for a shopping car and bearing in mind mine was an Expression I was quite suprised with it, sounded better than the VW item I have now. My argument was that to get some decent quality you would have to replace the full set up like you did, surely just changing the oem...
By all means modify it but purchase the parts secondhand off here, then when you come to sell standardise it then sell the bits back on here, chances are you won't lose any money.
Leave the sterio standard, its not even that bad, nobody is going to break in and nick it plus with an aftermarket...
Yeah i would take the focus as well because I enjoy driving the mpg is better the 1.6 zetec engine is arguably a better unit and the parts are obviously cheaper. You may pickup an early one one with 80kish for say £1200, but i would expect that to be negotiated from around the £1400 mark.
Theres a few about on t/b's a few 1.8t ones and a few VR6 ones, there is one being made with twin VR6's too.
1.6 16v 125HP, 950kg, 7.7 0-60, 130mph. Not especially quick i guess but great fun to drive. A friend of mine has a 182 and it takes him a while to reel me in from say 30-100 if I get a...
Lol, insurance companies do my head in! They give you the impression insurance will drop by the time you are 21 on performance cars, it now seems to have pushed to 25.
Whilst the 197's are a very fine car its not exactly an Evo is it!
Shame it was abit dull and overcast yesterday but yeah they've come out alrite, look much better in hi-res though.
Yeah will do next time bud, it was a last minute thing I just happened to have the camera on me and a spare half an hour.
Quite possibly, i can't remember exactly what I was doing...
Cheers guys, its great fun handles like a gokart, im planning on getting a summer car though aswell, i ve been offroading all weekend and I fancy getting a Landrover Series III.
I ve driven both, the golf is vastly better built that the focus but the focus does drive alot better.
You are having a laugh right? A golf MK4/ Focus for under £1k, absolutely no chance at all. Find me one and i will buy it now, i could sell it for 2.5x that tommorow trade.
I ve just had a look...
I can't belive so many people are pricing the 182 so close to £8k, its done 64k ffs! As Fred rightly points out its knocking on the door of a big service. You can get a 182 from a dealer with 25k on the clock for around £8-8.5k, so I don't know what sort of mug would pay that for one on 64k...
This is going to get moved asap to other marques which you can't read.
I thought that golf looked cheap but then I realised it was a 1.4.
£2k is the very bottom end of the focus market, its going to be a right shitter for that money probably 1.4 lx spec in white. Dynamically the focus is better...
Cheers, first two were in the multistorey in Christchurch, and the rest were taken on Mudeford Quay by Highcliffe Sailing Club, the quality of them is awful though since uploading them.
