I'm not even expecting mine on Friday due to it being done through T mobile as opposed to Apple like the last few times.

I went handset only last year and simplicity, but this year, theres nothing in it, so I'd rather spread the cost. Will most likely upgrade in 12 months!
I'd enjoy it for what it is, rather than throwing loads of money at it, and just upgrade to a sportier model when you feel the move is right.
Colour coded bumpers, or even colour coded sports bumpers could look good.
You can just sell your phone after 12 months, then buy a new handset direct from Apple when there is a new one out, costs about £200-£300 tops.
Secondly, iPhones aren't knackered after 24 months unless you give it a battering.
